Job Responsibilities
- Outreach Activities: Plan and implement outreach activities aimed at promoting awareness on HIV & AIDS prevention.
- Health Education: Provide education on STI, HIV, ART (Anti-Retroviral Therapy), and HIV testing to target communities.
- Counseling and Support: Conduct counseling sessions related to HIV & AIDS prevention, ensuring individuals are informed and supported.
- Collaboration: Work closely with local health departments, communities, and other stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the outreach program.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly assess and report on the outreach program’s effectiveness, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Data Collection: Collect and manage data from outreach activities to track success and identify areas for further intervention.
- Follow-up and Motivation: Provide ongoing support to individuals who have participated in the program, ensuring they stay informed and motivated to take preventive health measures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. The field of education is not specified, so candidates from diverse backgrounds may apply.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field, specifically with experience in HIV & AIDS prevention, family planning (FP), or public health.
- Experience in NGOs or working on health initiatives related to HIV, STIs, ART, and HIV testing and counseling (HTC) is highly preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Age: Applicants should be at most 55 years old at the time of application.
- Skills:
- Knowledge in HIV & AIDS, STIs, HTC, and ART is a significant advantage.
- Strong motivational and counseling skills to support and guide individuals effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage outreach programs effectively.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of BDT 22,050, which includes applicable tax deductions.
- Contract Type: This position is contractual and the contract will be valid until December 2026.
