🎓 Educational Requirements
Candidates should hold a Graduation / Post-Graduation / Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Industrial Engineering. Educational background relevant to production management, textile technology, or apparel manufacturing will be an added advantage.
💼 Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in the garments industry is required.
- Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in the same designation (GM/Sr. GM).
- Experience must be within woven garments production.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a 60-line capacity woven factory, ensuring daily production targets are met.
- Collaborate with planning and merchandising teams to align production schedules with material availability and delivery timelines.
- Ensure smooth execution of all production processes: cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing.
- Implement a cost-effective machine layout and drive efficiency improvements across departments.
- Maintain close coordination with the Quality Manager to reduce defects and improve DHU (Defects per Hundred Units).
- Monitor and document production activities, ensuring compliance with buyer standards and industry best practices.
- Guide sample development teams to create buyer samples for mass production approval.
- Enforce discipline and provide daily job assignments to production managers and team leads.
- Responsible for tracking production output hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Analyze performance metrics and take corrective action where required to meet targets and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all documentation and processes adhere to audit and inspection readiness.
